Improve Your Donor Recruitment,
Engagement and Management Skills…
AfSBT and the charity Global Blood Fund have partnered to offer African blood banking professionals the second International Donor Recruitment, Engagement and Management programme. The aim is to develop and share best practice in this critical area and IDREaM is envisaged to become an annual fixture in the African blood banking calendar.
The 2018 event will be held in Kigali, Rwanda 19-23 February 2018. Participants in the programme will enjoy a week of lectures, discussions and workshops with leading recruiters, planners and public relations practitioners, as well as site visits to donor centres and mobile blood drives. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with fellow attendees, their donor-recruiter peers from across the continent.
The programme content will be most beneficial to those with hands-on responsibility for donor-related activities, who will be able to directly apply new learning as well as develop and share innovative new approaches with colleagues. All costs associated with attendance (visa, flights and transfers, accommodation and subsistence) will be covered by the Global Blood Fund for attendees, with no cost to the individual or their employing blood service. As full costs will be reimbursed, no per diems will be payable.
Those interested in attending are invited to complete an online application form. The window for applications closes 30 October 2017. Previous applicants may reapply if details have changed, but applications from 2016 are on file. Please email info@globalbloodfund.org if you wish to be considered for the 2018 event.
