All lives matter in all varieties of sizes, colors, gender, and etc. Some people don’t value life like they really need to because there are people on this Earth that dreams to be in their shoes. Living, breathing, and seeing your family is a blessing. Most people in this world don’t have those stuff at all. Blood donation changed my life by making me look in a different perspective. Perspective of people that needs help in this world and just need somebody to have their back. Donating my blood made me feel like a real hero, just knowing that I’m helping people out there in the world or multiple families.
I believe reason why people don’t donate more is because of EXCUSES! If you have the chance to save thousands or millions of people’s lives then why not do it. You should be proud of this opportunity to help people. If you were in their spot then you would be praying every day for a miracle to come your way. This really upsets me because in my mind there is NO EXCUSES! Every day you should look for opportunities to help people in need.
I have a strong passion about donating blood because this comes from an experience moment in my life. Blood donation changed my life because it has saved my aunt, Kecia. Every day she wakes up fighting and surviving her illness. She was born with horrible sickle cell anemia. Through her whole life she lived practically lived in the hospital. Blood donation saved her life several times and still till this day it’s saving her. Without the donation of others she will be six feet underneath the surface of Earth and be an angel that watches over me. Without her in my family’s lives we would be crushed. Feeling like thousands of daggers splitting our hearts and rivers coming from our eyes. This experience makes me stay prayed up and fight to save others’ lives around the world.
Blood is the most grateful gift that anyone can give to another. In other words, you give that a person a gift of life. Just the thought of making one simple decision to donate blood can really save thousands of lives is extremely awesome! Studies say every two seconds someone needs blood. We have approximately 7.4 billion people living on Earth today. Now think if everyone just simply donate blood. That’s a lot of lives that’s being saved.
If you donate blood then it will change your life and make you value what you have now. So what you think the person receiving blood will do or feel like? I never been in the position of the person receiving blood but I believe it will change them rapidly. Yes, physically but mentally too. It will change them mentally by making them wanting to help around the community or to do better this time in life. God didn’t make you donate blood for no reason and the people didn’t receive your blood for no reason. We are all brothers and sisters. We need to stay together and support each other.
Donating blood can truly change someone’s life and it really did that to me. It taught me not to hesitate to save lives, especially if the opportunity is open no matter what someone says about you. In the words of Jesus Christ, “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” So what we can bring forth donating blood and what can destroy us is guilt. Every day we need to think about that person in need of that help. It takes heroes to save lives and I AM TRULY A HERO!
